Welcome to the Illinois Valley YMCA Dolphin Swim Team! To all veteran swimmers
and parents, a hearty welcome back! Without your dreams and dedication, this
program would be impossible! Thank you!
Also, a big welcome to all swimmers and parents new to the team! You can look
forward to fun, friendship, exercise, and excitement! We know how awkward it can feel
being the rookie, but we have great Dolphin parents, coaches, and swimmers to help
you through the ropes. Just ask and they will be there to help!
Please read our handbook, the notices given out on mail day, and the bulletin
boards! You will be well-informed if you do and your year will go smoothly! Come to
practice, ask questions, volunteer, and have fun! Many lasting friendships have
developed because of our close team and working together.

The Parent Board
Foundation Philosophy
To build a solid swimming program the Dolphins need the continued positive
cooperation of a strong parent organization. Coaches and swimmers make up two
sides of a triangle. However, the real foundation of this strong organization is the
third side, the triangle's base: THE PARENTS.
